Terms of Service

Who you are agreeing with
What The Pros Own is operated by DFF Enterprises, LLC, an Indiana limited liability company. “We” and “us” mean that company. “You” means the person using the service.
Write to us at 520 S Walnut St #191, Bloomington, IN 47402, or reach us at support@whattheprosown.com.
What the service is
We collect ownership filings that investment managers are required to submit to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, and present them in a readable form alongside written summaries produced with the help of an AI model.
We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or approved by the Securities and Exchange Commission. The underlying filings are public records.
This is not investment advice
Nothing on this service is a recommendation to buy or sell any security. We are not a registered investment adviser or a broker-dealer, we do not know your circumstances, and we do not offer personalized guidance of any kind.
Filings describe the past. A 13F reports what a manager held at the end of a quarter and can be filed up to 45 days later, so a position shown here may have been sold weeks before you read about it. Decide for yourself, and speak to someone licensed if you want advice.
Accuracy
We take care with the data and check it against itself, but we reproduce what managers filed. If a manager files something wrong, we will usually show it wrong. Summaries are generated automatically and checked against the filing they describe; a summary that fails that check is withheld rather than published.
The service is provided as it is, without warranties. We do not promise it will be available without interruption or free of errors.
Your account
You need an account to use most of the service. Keep your password to yourself, tell us if you think someone else has it, and do not share one account between people.
You must be at least 18. One person, one account. We may suspend an account that is being used to scrape the service, resell the data, or get around the limits of a free plan.
Paid subscriptions
A paid subscription costs $19.99 per month or $199 per year, charged in advance and renewing automatically until you cancel. Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
You can cancel at any time from your account. Cancelling stops the next charge and keeps your access until the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not refund partial periods.
If we refund a payment in full, your access ends when the refund is issued. A partial refund does not affect your access.
If we change the price, the new price applies from your next renewal and we will tell you before it takes effect.
What you may and may not do with the data
The filings themselves are public records and we claim nothing over them. Our summaries, our presentation, and the design of the service are ours.
You may use the service for your own investing. You may not systematically copy it, scrape it, resell it, or build a competing product out of it.
Limits on what we owe you
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for investment losses, lost profits, or any indirect or consequential damages. Our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Some places do not allow limits like these. Where that is true, this section applies only as far as it legally can.
Ending the agreement
You can close your account whenever you like. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. If we close your account without cause, we refund the unused part of what you paid.
Changes
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will email you before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new version.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana.
Disputes
Tell us first. Most problems are a misunderstanding or a mistake we would rather fix than argue about, so write to us and give us thirty days to put it right before starting anything formal.
If that does not work, disputes between us are resolved by binding arbitration rather than in court, administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. The arbitration is conducted remotely or in Monroe County, Indiana, whichever you prefer. The arbitrator decides the dispute, and their decision can be entered as a judgment.
Two things this does not take away from you. You can still bring a claim in small claims court if it qualifies there. And you can opt out of arbitration entirely by writing to us within thirty days of first accepting these terms, which costs you nothing and changes nothing else about your account.
Arbitration is between you and us individually. Claims are not combined with anyone else’s and are not brought as a class action.
